Reynolds, Stephen: A Poor Man's House Lonodn: Oxford University Press; 1982 With an introduction by Roy Hattersley. Novel based on fact, originally written in 1906. The story of a middle-class man who gave it all up to join the fishing community at Sidmouth, Devon.   Paperback, 206 pages, 5 x 7 3/4 inches (13 x 19.5 cms). Condition: well read, cover has some bent corners, at the top front the photo lamination on the cover is coming off; all pages are discolouring round the edges; liquid stain across top corner on first few pages, decreasing further into the book, but it seems that the whole book has been damp on the corner. (Stock ref 92) £4.00

Nimmo, Hay and Mitchell; undated but before 1895 Nelson'w whole life story and career. Undated, but a prize certificate on the inside back cover is dated March 1895. Hard back, heavily decorated red covers, 318 pages, 5 x 7 1/2 inches (13 x 19 cms). Condition: shelf wear on lower edges, spine is sunned, otherwise the book is very good and very clean.  NOTE: This book is very heavy for its size and will incur more postage than usual for this size. (Stock ref 72) £8.00

Sandow's Magazine of Physical Culture, Vol. III, July to December 1899 London: Harrison & Sons; 1899 576 pages of body-building news, information, photos and drawings, with some advertising of the time. Contains articles and cartoons on current affairs and sports of the time.   Hard cover, leather bound..   Condition: the dark red leather spine has a one inch split at the top, and a 3 1/2 inch split at the bottom. All leather on spine and corners is rubbed but gilt title and decoration is still bright. The textured red leather boards are intack, but there is a water stain in the centre, and small dark stains on the back. See all these faults on the image. (Stock ref 59) £50.00
